the cellar

Inside our tuff cellar, we are pleased to offer you an exclusive selection of bottles from our label "Divitiae Tufi", created to let you taste the true essence of this land.

Each bottle is freely available to guests who wish to enjoy a special toast or take home a memory of the property. The cost is €20 per bottle.

For payment, we rely entirely on your honesty through two very simple options:

Cash: Place the amount directly in the dedicated cash box you will find inside the cellar.

Digital: Scan the QR Code displayed near the bottles to proceed with electronic payment.

A pact of trust and honesty: This small cellar was created as a gesture of hospitality, meant to make you feel at home. There are no strict checks or forced inventories: we rely entirely on honesty, respect, and the sense of responsibility of those who choose to stay with us. We thank you in advance for the respect you will show toward this space and our work. Enjoy your tasting!

Check-in (Arrival): We welcome our guests starting from 3:00 PM. We kindly ask you to let us know your estimated arrival time a little in advance, so we can greet you at our best and personally welcome you. Upon arrival, you will need to show a valid ID document for the legal registration.

Check-out (Departure): Rooms and the property must be vacated by 10:30 AM on the day of departure. This allows us to sanitize and prepare the spaces for the next guests, ensuring everyone the same standard of cleanliness and comfort that you found.

Special requests? If you need to check in at different times or you need a late check-out, please contact us in advance. We will do our best to meet your needs, depending on the property's availability.

Our cellar is a magical place, designed to offer you a unique atmosphere of relaxation, history, and sharing. It’s the ideal space to switch off and enjoy a good glass of wine. To ensure this special setting stays welcoming for everyone, we kindly ask you to follow these small courtesies:

Music and Atmosphere: Inside the cellar you’ll find Bluetooth speakers at your disposal. You can freely connect your smartphone to accompany your relaxing moments with your favorite soundtrack, taking care to keep the volume at a level that respects the quiet of the property.

Tasting: You’ll find everything you need for your toast: suitable tasting glasses and a corkscrew. We kindly ask you to wash the glasses and put them back in their place after use, ready for the next occasion.

Leave a memory on the Chalkboard: There is a chalkboard dedicated to you: feel free to write a thought, a greeting, a drawing, or a dedication to share a little piece of your experience with us and with future guests!

Respect for the space: The charm of this cellar is tied to the arrangement of its historic and design elements. Please do not move the furnishings, the displayed bottles, or the décor items from their original position.

🕯️A small tip: Enjoy this space for a refreshing break after a day spent exploring the wonders of the area. Thank you from the heart for the respect and care you’ll show for this special corner of the house!

conditioning

the kitchen

The kitchen is fully equipped to let you prepare your meals with total independence and comfort. For a proper and safe use of the spaces and amenities, please follow these brief guidelines:

Appliances available: The kitchen is equipped with a kettle, toaster, microwave oven and dishwasher. You will also find a washer-dryer (washing machine with integrated drying function), ideal for conveniently managing your laundry during your stay.

Welcome Kit and Condiments: For your arrival we have prepared a courtesy cleaning kit (sponge and detergent) and a basic set with oil and salt, so you won’t have to rush out to shop right away.

Cleaning and Tidying: We kindly ask you not to leave dirty dishes or food leftovers at check-out and to empty the dishwasher before departure.

Daily cleaning supplies: If you need to do a quick clean during your stay, you will find the broom and other cleaning accessories stored inside the cabinet located in the living room.

ì Small note: Please be careful not to put metal objects or aluminum foil in the microwave oven, and use the correct programs for the washer-dryer to avoid damaging your clothes. Thank you very much for the respect and care you will show for this space!.

To ensure maximum comfort in every season, the property is equipped with a state-of-the-art air-conditioning system. To avoid unnecessary energy waste and protect the environment around us, climate control is supported by an eco-friendly home-automation system operating as follows:

Windows open: If one or more windows remain open for more than 15 minutes, the system will switch off automatically to prevent heat loss and unnecessary consumption. Once the windows are closed, the air conditioner can be turned back on.

Presence at home: The system is set to optimize consumption when you are not in the property. If the sensors detect no movement inside the home for more than 30 minutes, the system will automatically switch off.

A choice for the planet: We invite you to set reasonable operating temperatures (recommended 24-26°C in summer) and to switch off devices when you decide to go out and explore the wonders of the city. We sincerely thank you for helping make your stay sustainable and environmentally responsible!.

the trash

In Siena’s historic center we care a lot about cleanliness, decorum and respect for the environment. We therefore ask you to sort your waste carefully during your stay, following these simple rules in force in the Municipality:

Organic (Food waste): Use the specific biodegradable/compostable bags. Put in food scraps, peels, coffee grounds and small plant waste.

Light Multi-material (Plastic, Aluminum, Glass, Tetra Pak): Plastic packaging (bottles, trays), aluminum cans, metal tins, glass bottles and jars, milk or juice cartons. All together, well emptied.

Paper and Cardboard: Cardboard boxes (folded and flattened), newspapers, magazines and paper bags. Note: paper soiled with food goes in the organic.

General waste (Non-recyclable residue): Anything that cannot be recycled (e.g. litter, extinguished cigarette butts, hard plastics not used for packaging, diapers, receipts).

How and where to dispose of waste: Inside the apartment you will find the dedicated bins. At check-out, or when needed during your stay, waste must be taken outside following the specific procedures for our street. You will find detailed instructions with the times posted inside the main entrance door.
